Annals of Chinese Public Art - May 2005

Why do I do it? What strange, dark force compels me to document the taste-shattering horror of Chinese public art?

A possible explanation can be found in this blog posting. Meanwhile, below are the latest additions to the collection, from May 2005. These magificent specimens were photographed in Huirou, north of Beijing, at Mutianyu, on the Fourth Ring Road and, in one case, at Houhai. Click on the thumbnails for larger images. Links to previous public-art blog posts are below the thumbnails.
