Singapore
Chinese New Year
is one of my favorite times in Singapore. Its one of the few times that
Singapore feels truly bustling, especially in the narrow, restored shophouse
lanes around Smith Street. I always enjoy wandering the area on the nights
before the new moon, fighting the crowds, buying indulgent snacks, and
watching the auctions and hawkers. Here are a few photos from 2003 and
2004.
